Birth Videos from Across the Sea and Down the Road

This birth video is beautiful, albeit graphic, and shows how wonderfully soft and supportive your birth team SHOULD be at your birthing time. See the husbands ever-present touch, though he looks a little unsure of himself. Hear the encouraging voices of the women supporting her... Notice the unhurried note on time baby remained at the perineum. No hurry, no fuss, just support.

Now for a birth a little closer to home... :o)

This birth is of a darling little girl who was brought into the world at Vanderbilt here in Nashville. She had a supportive girlfriend and doula by her side, as her husband was deployed at the time of her birthing.

Both those videos are beautiful! It was hilarious to see those nurses bending down a hundred times to see the baby like they were bowing to the great one and only vagina. There was absolutely no sense of urgency in the room whatsoever...
