Wow, this was an awesome link. So creative, yet so painfully true. I just recently watched a birth video put out by Lamaze (I won't be using it for my teaching, that' for sure). In it, the expecting mom said she planned on having an epidural during labor so that she "could enjoy the birth." I wonder how differently this mama might have felt if she had learned of all the risks associated with epidurals, and also learned of the amazing and profoundly impacting benefits of natural birth. Just goes to show how drastically important it is for moms (and dads) to educate themselves, rather than just follow the standard, American protocol for birth.
Keep up the great work. You're continually an encouragement to me.
Hi, I just found your blog and really like it. May I link it to my birth blog? I am a doula also and have a birth blog set up with doula friend of mine. We just started it not long ago. It is a work in progress. I just had my 5th baby on the 12th. It was a home birth. His birth story is written there. By the way, I loved the picture of the cord and feet. Also loved the slide show of baby clem!
