I was aware of the harmful effects of dioxin in baby diapers and have been using dioxin-free diapers for my son, but it didn't actually occur to me that this would be in my tampons as well. hmmm. not very clever of me. So I appreciated finding that information on the Maxim website.
2. I read quite a few posts on the blog, and really enjoyed the ones about the fight to keep a small, organic grocery in New York alive, and the one about why Lindsay Lohan has affected Kambucha being stocked in grocery stores.
3. It has also been linked to causing birth defects, inability to maintain pregnancy, decreased fertility, reduced sperm counts, endometriosis, diabetes, learning disabilities, immune system suppression, lung problems, skin disorders, lowered testosterone levels and much more."

This makes me crazy. I had no idea that conventional tampons left behind particles (w/ harmful chemicals) that could get left behind on the uterine walls.

2. I'm a big fan of their most recent post on Yoga poses that help the menstrual cycle. I've done yoga, on and off, for a few years now and am always wary of attending during my cycle because I worry about the cramping and discomfort I might feel. It's great to see what poses actually HELP the process, rather than make me feel more sore.

3.
